Close the loop between
PanaCIM and
physical material execution

PanaCIM manages your Panasonic production line — scheduling, work orders and equipment. SMF takes over at the warehouse gate: checking inventory, locking reels, triggering automated storage and delivery, and writing results back — so every material action is traceable and accountable.

Use Cases

Three ways PanaCIM and SMF work together

From routine production runs to changeover and exception handling — these are the scenarios where the integration delivers the clearest value on the shop floor.

SCENARIO 01
Work-Order-Driven Auto Kitting
PanaCIM releases a production order. SMF automatically stages all required reels from the SMD BOX and routes them to the correct lineside position — before the operator even arrives at the station.
1
PanaCIM sends work order with part list and line assignment
2
SMF validates stock, applies FEFO rules, locks reels
3
SMD BOX retrieves reels; Neo Light guides lineside placement
4
Completion and UID data written back to PanaCIM
SCENARIO 02
Mid-Run Replenishment & Changeover
When a reel runs low during production, PanaCIM triggers a replenishment request. SMF locates the next eligible reel, dispatches it via AGV, and confirms the handoff — minimising line stoppage.
1
Low-stock signal from PanaCIM or feeder monitor
2
SMF finds next FEFO-compliant reel and reserves it
3
AGV dispatched; delivery confirmed via Neo Scan
4
Inventory updated; PanaCIM notified of new reel UID
SCENARIO 03
Surplus Return & Reel Traceability
After a production run, unused or partially used reels are scanned back in. SMF logs remaining quantity, updates storage location, and syncs final material consumption data back to PanaCIM.
1
Operator scans return reel at Neo Scan terminal
2
SMF updates remaining quantity and storage slot
3
SMD BOX accepts and stores the returned reel
4
Final consumption record pushed to PanaCIM
Data Flow

What data moves, and in which direction

The integration is bi-directional. PanaCIM sends demand signals; SMF returns execution facts. Neither system oversteps its boundary.

System Scope

Clear boundaries, no overlap

PanaCIM owns line-level production intelligence. SMF owns material-level execution. The two complement each other without duplicating logic.

PanaCIM Handles
  • Production scheduling, work order creation and line assignment
  • Equipment program management and feeder mapping
  • Approved-material rules and version governance
  • Production status dashboards and operator instructions
  • Receiving completion data and exception status from SMF
SMF Handles
  • Real-time inventory check, reel locking and FEFO/FIFO sequencing
  • Auto-retrieval, kitting, replenishment, return and cycle-count tasks
  • Device orchestration across SMD BOX, Neo Light, Neo Scan, Neo Counter and AGV
  • UID, quantity, lot, bake time and material status history
  • Exception detection and shortage escalation
In one sentence: PanaCIM decides what the line needs and when — SMF makes sure the right reel, in the right state, reaches the right station, and records every step.
